Why are changes expensive in traditional marketing?

A weak offline message may keep running until the booking, print run, or placement period ends, and fixing it often requires new production, printing, or media buying.
Once the campaign is already printed, aired, mailed, or installed, the business has fewer quick ways to correct the message.
It may need a new design, recording, layout, or approval before the revised ad can run.
This adds cost when flyers, brochures, coupons, or catalogues must be printed again.
For radio or television, a changed script or offer may require fresh recording, editing, scheduling, or airtime.
Outdoor ads are also harder to update after the board, poster, or sign has been installed.
The problem becomes bigger when poor response is noticed late and the campaign has already used much of its budget.
